Cookie Policy

Last updated: 11 April 2026

This website uses a small number of first-party cookies to keep the site functional and to record the browsing journey of visitors who later choose to contact us. No third-party advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to remember information about visitors across pages.

Cookies We Use

Technical Cookies (Necessary)

These cookies are essential for the website to function. They include cookies for language preferences and for preventing abuse of forms. These do not require consent.

First-Party Session Cookie (mm_sid)

When you visit the site we set a first-party cookie called mm_sid containing a random identifier. It lets the server record which pages you visit so that if you later submit the contact form, complete an assessment, or request a resource, we can see the full journey that led you there. The cookie is httpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and expires after 180 days of inactivity. IP addresses recorded against your session are truncated to /24 (IPv4) or /48 (IPv6) at the point of storage so the persisted data can no longer uniquely identify your device. The cookie and its associated data are never shared with third parties, ad networks, or analytics providers. You can opt out at any time using the banner on your first visit, which sets a separate mm_optout cookie that stops all session tracking. Aggregate, anonymised site analytics (total pageviews, top pages, referrers) are handled separately by a self-hosted Umami instance and do not require cookies.

Managing Cookies

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. To opt out of session tracking specifically, click Opt out on the cookie banner on your first visit. If the banner is no longer visible (already dismissed), clear cookies for this site and it will reappear on your next visit. Note that disabling necessary cookies may affect the functionality of this website.

Legal Basis and Opt Out

The first-party mm_sid session cookie is used on a notice-and-opt-out basis, consistent with guidance issued by the French CNIL and the Italian Garante for first-party non-profiling analytics where no data is shared with third parties and no cross-site tracking takes place. On your first visit a banner informs you that the cookie is in use and gives you a one-click Opt out button, which sets a separate mm_optout cookie that prevents any session tracking going forward. Necessary technical cookies are used whether or not you opt out.
